Long ago, a race of people known as the Morph existed. These people had the peculiar power of shape shifting into dragons. The Morph thought they were superior to the ordinary people, which they called Ordinaries. The pure Morph tried to take the world for themselves, until the children between Ordinaries and Morph, known as Morphlings, decided to set things right. The Morphlings, using their magic, banished the evil Morph to a different dimension, which was only reachable by a portal where things could go in, but could not come out unless they possessed the Morphling's Gem, a gemstone of magical power created by a long ago Morphling, Adeline Sky.
