Abandonment, disappointment, and anger where just a few emotions that ran through my veins as I briskly walked down the aisle of the local chapel. My jacket seemed to melt into my skin as I pulled it around me tighter. With my black hood covering my face, I prayed no one would bother me. I kept my eyes down on my feet feeling my body shake and my throat grow dry. Fighting back tears was so natural to me but today it felt as though I’ve never had to do it before.
