Vin, or Vinnia Stevens know's firsthand what these phrases sound like. Overcome with grief by her late mother, her father turns to his work, ignoring the the fact that his only child is slowly falling apart. From quickly dropping test scores to lost appetites, Vin is not getting by easily. In those few times Vin and her father make conversation, Vin starts to see the change in him. He starts with a small hatred then a large one toward women. Vin starts to feel guilty for her gender. Sad, then angry, Vin develops a hatred towards men. Especially Liam Dansell, the heart taker and breaker of Lockwood Academy.
