Long time, no see

This will be an ongoing piece of work, so I'll be publishing it in parts.
Dahra had always been difficult. She found it hard to listen to people and mostly to do what they asked. Her best friend Lance always kept her sane. He calmed her down when she was angry and helped her to get good grades and settle in. But when they were 10,Lance's dad got a job promotion and the whole family had to move to America, leaving Dahra on her own. Since then she abandoned any self control she had obtained with Lance and made no more effort to be good or nice to anyone
But when they're 16, something very unexpected happens - Lance comes back. But by then, Dahra is already off the rails...
