A poem I wrote last year when my friends kept asking me "Why?" I told them why, but they didn't understand, they will never understand how reading is to me. It's an escape. I just wish they would at least TRY to understand...

I Was Wrong
I thought you were different, but I was wrong. I thought you'll be the one, but still I was wrong. I thought you're loyal and faithful, and yet i'm still wrong. Settling in the Dust
This is a collection of poems. All the threads of emotions I've dealt with sewn into one book. What was not initially posted in my Facebook page was published here. It was first read here. I believe it's a safe space. I go by the pen name Alethia Ivory. I'm a college student and an aspiring writer. There are lots of stories I want to bring into reality but for now, this is all I could do.
