In all of Alistaria's life, there were always things that were simple. Her job, her simple home, her mother and father who loved her. She guarded a castle of warriors who were so much stronger than her, despite her lack of any real magical ability. It was a life she could understand, at least to some degree. When her first real mission goes belly up, she is forced to confront the harsh reality of Alaris. A world devoid of true light and marred by shades of criminality. Its gods in various shades of wickedness. Alongside her companion Azzaran, Alistaria must navigate a world that no longer holds any warmth for her. Plagued by the warriors that once gave her a sense of safety, she must find a way to rid herself of the mutation spreading through her abdomen. It is either that, or watch herself slowly die. Not only that, but there was also the eldritch monster that was attempting to escape into reality through her dreams. It meant that on top of the rest of it, she was being used as a prison. Would it be the angelic Maiyaris hunting her down that would be the end? Would it be the cultists attempting to sacrifice her? Or would the mutation claim her first?
