Set in a fantastic world, Kenta Morcades and his companion, Kei, traverse through the desert empire of Ahsira. 

Journeying due to a prophetic dream, Kenta and Kei both find new allies as well as new threats while on their path. While the two are newcomers to the area, they are aided by Tula, a mysterious and free spirited native of the desert nation, as well as Lazarus, a young arena fighter with promise. 

Over time, Kenta discovers information about turmoil that took place in the desert a decade ago that may arise anew, as well as the fact that someone he has befriended is keeping a deep, dangerous secret from him. With so many new acquaintances, will he be able to discern who is friend and who is foe? Or will distrust keep him from accomplishing his goals?
