Flora's love for Tristan was unconditional and strong, the type of love girls dream about and hope to find one day. The girls in her high school watch them walk hand in hand in the school hallway, imagining how perfect it would be to press their lips to that beautiful face of his. Girls envy Flora.

Just because a relationship looks so beautiful on the outside does not mean the relationship is perfect. Every relationship gets cracks in the foundation, mistrust, treating, lies... and sometimes abuse.

Flora knew he would never hurt her physically but when Tristan starts to play with Flora's mind and show violence to those around her, bubbles of thread settle in Flora's stomach. When the new boy in town, Nate, befriends Flora, she questions her love and loyalty to Tristan.

Should she sacrifice a secure mind to stay with Tristan or fight her way to safety with the help of Nate?
