Camaliel is an angel; not one to stand out, obedient, and loyal to a T. But when a unexpected meeting gives her a glimpse of the world beyond Heaven and it's war it causes her to stray. And when her higher ups' disapprove of her sudden rogueish and wandering behavior; she realizes her fellow angels aren't all halos and good intentions.

William MacLaughlin is a vampire; doing his best to abstain and save the soul of a fledgling. In his quest to keep his charge blood-free while finding her maker, he discovers that there's more to many things than meet the eye, that love can truly be a deadly thing, and wings don't make you an obedient saint.
