“You must wear this at all times my son, or your true nature will be revealed,” he slipped the pendant around his neck and watched as his sons tail changed. It split in two the scales receding into his body, fading to smooth human skin. His lungs constricted when the gills on the sides of his neck and hips transfused together, stopping him from attaining the dissolved oxygen inside the water. The salty liquid flooded his mouth out of the automatic reaction to try and breathe. The king told him to close his mouth as he raised his trident. He pointed the trident, blasting him with the most pure power of their kind; bright colors or blue and yellow wrapped around Stefan making him convulse in the awkward feel of the power running through his veins.
He was sent to the shore of a deserted lake, with the words of his father and mother in mind, he set out to find his bride.
