Nothing Better is a short chapter book about a young girl and her adventurous mind. Alice is 13 yrs old and her parents fight all the time. Alice runs away a lot, and her mind is tortured constantly by her parents angry words and sharp tones, her mind plays tricks on her and she has no friends at school. Her best friend is the knife that lives under her pillow. But in the first or second chapter her life is changed when she finds a beautiful creature thought only to live In fairy tales. But did it change her life for the better? Or worse?
