Grace glanced around nervously, the flickering street light overhead making her unease grow. She jumped when she heard a strange noise, sighing in relief when she saw it was only the neighborhood stray, Dewey. She tsk'd at the cat and soon continued on her way home. She pondered over what to tell her parents. Should she lie and tell them everything was alright? Or tell them about the strange occurences at school? About her strange dreams? She stopped dead in her tracks, swearing she heard a voice calling her name. Beckoning her. Taunting her. No, it had to be her overactive imagination. There's nothing else it could be. She gazed around her at the darkened houses lining her street, trying to figure out if she had truly gone mad. Her heart stopped when she saw him. His misty blue form was translucent, making it hard to study him. She blinked and rubbed her eyes, hoping it was only a figment of her imagination. She gasped when she realized he was no figment of her imagination. His eyes collided with hers, regarding her with a cool demeanor that seemed to suit him. The expression of a warrior. She shuddered as his eyes scanned over her. He lingered on the moon shaped pendant around her neck. She instinctively covered the pendant up with one of her hands, running her fingers over the smooth surface of it, clutching it.
