Dr. Chevelle Huffman just lost her university position and is desperate to make a living wage for once in her life. An online ad says that the diner in the little beach town of Hastur, Texas needs a gift shop clerk - and they're offering $25 an hour. Free meals. An apartment to live in. She points her car to the coast and trundles off to the diner with only an occasional second thought. Once she starts, she'll understand why the diner at the beach isn't the great gig she thought it was.
