In less than a month, I would be as good as dead. 
  Nathan McCallum is almost 18, which means he will be off to war. Nobody really knows what the war is about, just that for us to have a chance; every man over 18 must go to war. With no men in town to help raise the children, most are struggling, with no education what so ever. But nothing is as it seems. He quickly finds out his world is based on lies, ones that keep growing. To set things straight and seek revenge, they embark on a journey and live as outlaws. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. After standing up to bullies, he earned some respect, and his mentor began to soften, though Nathan still felt like an outsider, unsure if he would ever belong, Nathan never thought what his life will be like in the next 10 years. Full of journeys and unexpected turns he never thought would come true, He just wants to go home....
