Sometimes God puts people into your life for a specific reason. This is a story of two girls who are destined to meet but just don't know it yet.
Meredith is a girl who is caught up in a season of life that she just can't seem to get out of. The emotional baggage that she carries is holding her back from her true potential in life. She doesn't know what she believes or even what she wants out of life. She lives in the moment not really caring about the consequences. But God has a plan for her and he puts certain people in her life to show her His love, grace and mercy.
Alexandra is on fire for God and walking the path He has called her to walk. She answered the radical call at a young age, and the fire inside her is burning hot. She goes through peer pressure and low times, but she knows she can put her trust in God and will make it through. At school for a degree in Marine Biology, God puts people in her life that she will lead to Him.

She didn't know what happened to them because her mom didn't accept any invitations and she never talked with any of them either. Now at 23, tragedy had arrived in her life. Her mom had passed away from a stroke and she had no one to rely on but an untie that mom had said she should seek in case something happened. She needed to travel alone to her mom auntie's home, without any sort of companion. She didn't dare accept anyone who offered to help her because mom had said she should trust just her auntie and anyone else. She didn't know if bad men would try to snatch her again and her only desire was to find a safe place she could live her pacific life, the way she did when her mom was alive.

It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.Complete
