Rin has finally let the depression from stress and end of year tests consume him and is planning on committing suicide as an escape from everything. After jumping he is soon saved by a blue eyed boy who disappears straight after taking Rin to shore but that doesn't stop him from checking the beach every day to find the boy with the captivating eyes.  After almost giving up looking he finds a note written in the sand with a hint it could be from the mysterious boy & communicates back and forth with a system of writing in the sand.
