"My name is Kali Johnson and I'm addicted to reading." This is a story about me, Kali Johnson, as I break away from my normal (safe, loved and comfortable) life and join the real world. I'm the type of person who has gone through life with her nose stuck in the pages of my favorite book and I'm totally fine with that (but apparently to be a "healthy" teenager one must interact with people, like real people). I'm a 17 year old girl whose best friend is her collectors addition of Sherlock Holmes and whose idea of a good time is staying up late reading fantasy books (don't ask me what my type of wild night out is). So, join me as I am leave (or pushed) out of my comfort zone (which I love by the way) and am forced to interact with everyday people.

To Fit In

Let’s start by saying that I’m not the finest out of the bunch. I’m that rotten egg out of the perfect batch. I’m the odd one out. To fit in. To belong. To be compatible, similar or consistent. That isn’t what I am. I am the wrong puzzle piece that doesn't go in the right place. I'm a riddle. My story is not the happiest and I can’t guarantee a happy ending, but it’s safe to say that it’s not the worst. I mean, some people have it worse than me. Right? *** Meet Steph. Her life turns upside down, inside out and definitely changes. Throw in catastrophes, social issues and acceptance and you get a girl who's trying to fit in. The question is, is the change for the better or worse? *** Copyright © 2013 Nya Ahmed
