17-year-old Ember Ferno has nothing left in life right now. After being rightfully convicted of murder, he has been imprisoned with nothing exceot clothing and his diary, which he diligently works on during his time in there. Soon he is joined by a new cellmate, a somewhat odd girl. The two begin to conversate and the tale begins with a life story of his conviction. All the while, he struggles with the sad truth of fate that haunts him everyday. All the while, he is disproving the theory that "guilt is the strongest emotion". Because he knows it's not true.
There is another one that is stronger than any other emotions combined.
