“Tell me did you fall for a shooting star?
One without a permanent scar?
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?”
He sang to me with a passion I didn’t quite seem to understand. The last question seemed to be directed to me, not as a lyric but quite literally. His voice was off beat but in a weird sense it held this tinge of beauty and perfection colouring it, almost haunting it. A wave of unforeseen nostalgia washed over me.
I feel a tsunami of emotions flow through me but in response, I only managed to choke out a sorry excuse of a statement, “Why?”
“Right now, as I’m here with you, I’m complete again. That’s why.”

How does one respond if a nightmare turns into reality? How does one deal with having lost everything and having to learn from the start, step by step, all over again? Throw a pang of love and drama into the midst of this and one dares to ask, how does one feel okay again? Is it alright to fall in love under such circumstances? Or is it not?
