Hosting a party while your parents are gone is one thing. Pretending you hosted one is another.

When Mark Parr decides to take the heat for a party thrown by a major crush of his, he doesn't know how bad things could get. Soon after lying to Marissa's city-councilman dad about hosting the party, Mark's troubles snowball. He is bullied, he fails a test for the first time ever, and he is kicked off the wrestling team. He feels like a victim of circumstance. But Mark doesn't realize there was a real victim of the party.

Mark is horrified to learn that the party he pretended to host had serious consequences for another girl he likes, an exchange student from Venezuela. And his best friend Geoff is the suspect. Confused about his loyalties and responsibility, Mark chooses not to tell the truth when questioned in front of school administrators. Now Mark must wrestle with thoughts of complicity in a crime he can only imagine and with the challenge of identifying his real friends and true self.

how far would you go . . . for someone you love? ♔ Levi steps forward, placing himself between me and Jack. Like he's protecting me from him. But I don't need protecting, certainly not from Jack. "Who do you think you are, dude?" Levi spits, getting in Jack's face. "Look, Scarlett was just helping me out with a proj-" "I'm not your dude," Jack bites, and I want to tear my hair out of my head. This is going downhill very fast. Jack turns to me. "Scar, we need to talk," he says lowly. Then loud enough for Levi to hear, "So can you please get this kid to leave." "Hey, you don't get to come in here and start ordering her around," Levi says harshly. "You don't control her." "And you think that you do?" Jack spits. ♔ When Scarlett moved off to college, she hoped to start anew and find her way in this world alone. Two problems. One: her older brother goes to the same college, and it seems like he's everywhere, keeping her from doing everything she hoped to do as a college freshman. Two: her brother's devastatingly handsome best friend also seems hell-bent on ruining her college experience . . . but in a different way. Their paths keep crossing, and Scarlett is reminded of the powerful attraction that they've both ignored for far too long. Not to mention, a new face begins to occupy everyday Scarlett's thoughts. When Scarlett is paired with an allusive, darkly handsome stranger for a film project, her world begins to open in ways she never thought possible. But as his mystery unravels into dark secrets, she wonders if she's falling a bit too hard. Before long, Scarlett is forced to realize that balancing the hearts of two boys at once just might result in the breaking of her own.

*COMPLETED* Olivia After all the drama during my freshman year I look forward to being a sophmore. I am going to kick ass in classes and nail this marketing project. Only downside is that I am assigned to the football team for this project. That means I have to endure being around my dad and the enemy himself, Dax. Too bad the enemy comes in a six foot three inches, muscular all tatted up body that makes my knees weak. Dax Being all alone during the summer break was good for me. It took me some time to realize that my demons from the past is still haunting me and affecting my academic and personal life. I wish I could turn back time and change everything, right from that disastrous toga party my first night on campus. To bad that is not possible and the person I seek forgiveness from the most can't stand me. Sparks fly, walls are being torn down and forgiveness is right around the corner but what happens when everything is based on one teeny-tiny lie that got out of hand? Is it possible to move forward from this or was it one lie to much on an already fragile foundation? (Can be read as a standalone)
