A girl named Jenna (goes by Jen or Jeni) lives in Ireland and is moving with her mom to Los Angeles, California where she meets a boy. She is so excited she can hardly wait - her mom is depressed and doesn't care about her daughter much since Jenna's dad died in a bad storm that caused him to loose focus of the car and he was texting while driving so he crashed and died.
