Far into the future, remains of humanity live among trash in a city known as the Refuge. Humankind divided into sectors, known as the Importants, the Unimportants, and the Isolates. The Isolates were kicked out to roam the mountains of trash. The Importants and Unimportants live together, but the Importants have better roles in the Refuge. After the Crisis, more threats emerged. Scientists had engineered a biological robotic creatures to help eat trash. Consequently, the creatures evolved and began to eat the flesh of animals, including humans. All in all, when 17 year old Ash gets swept out in a flash flood, he learned the secrets of the past, why the creatures eat flesh, and why the Isolates are sent out among the trash. Finally, Ash manages to get back to the Refuge. He tries to convince people to believe what he saw, but will they believe him? Or will he get sent out to the mountains of trash again as an Isolate?
