Gu Family Book Ending Rewritten

For the past 400 years, Choi Kang Chi has traveled the world, experienced many sights and met a variety of people. Though he chose not to pursue his quest in finding the Gu Family Book, he hadn’t given up on finding the love of his life, Yeo Wool. Through time, he matured into a wise-thinking, independent man who continued to help those in need. Quick on his feet, equipped with swift and agile defense moves thanks to his training at Master Dam Pyeong Joon's Academy, he became one of Joseon’s finest policemen and stayed in that profession until this day. To hide his true form as a gumiho, he continuously changed his identity and settled in different areas around the world. From time to time, he would become idle from the police force and went into hiding in order to not raise any suspicions. As a former police captain, he knew his way around the system and was able to change his work history when applying for a new job. Kang Chi’s last known address was in the United States, where he had been for the past 40 years. He decided that it was time to uproot his life and move back to Korea, which he hasn't seen for nearly 70 years since serving in the army, now under the alias of Choi Ji Won.
