Cassie finds herself involved in a peaceful protest about recent hospital budget cuts. But it then turns into more of a riot. Cassie tries to cope with the embarrassment and humiliation of finding herself in the back of a policevan. Sergeant Max McLeod finds himself confronted with trying to understand Cassies situation, and also trying to understand why his mind keeps turning to her, when he knows so little about her. His time away with peace keeping duties in the Solomon Islands will break their relationship or cement it.
