Many people would say that Elena Hastings was completely, undeniably, and shamelessly full of herself. She would back this statement up 100%. Elena's always been one of those girls, the ones that stick out annoyingly more than most people in high school, and she would have no problem telling you why. She was young, beautiful, intelligent and it didn't matter what anyone said because in her eyes, she was flawless. She's spent her entire life believing that she was better than her fellow peers. It isn't until she meets Riley and her friends that she gets kicked down a few pegs. Riley being the blunt, sarcastic girl she is, has no problem pushing down Elena's arrogant amount of ego. Suddenly she isn't the confident and conceited girl anymore...she's the nervous wreck that just hopes her crush notices her. [GirlxGirl] Note: This story is my original work and is copyrighted by me. Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
