The Silent One: Rapture and Redemption (Book 4/Unedited)
Seven years flew by as Kira watched everyone else from afar while training her angels for battle. Ceciellia and her coven continued to run a private magic school with the help of Alice and the others, expanding the diversity of their army and training recruits. Everyone played a role and had their pieces to contribute to the cause, teaching different types of classes to various creatures so that they could learn to use the gifts they were either born with or given later on. When Alice and Tate weren't teaching at the school, they were off doing what they did best: hunting demons that managed to slip through the cracks. Anna, Luna, Rain, and Claire continued their research to create more cures for different creatures while teaching and caring for the unique students of the school. Alex, Damon, and Caleb also taught classes and maintained security and safety for those who lived at the house containing a portal door leading to the magic school and the students living in its dorms. The special children, either born from Lucifer and Kira's bloodlines or those with ancestors who passed down pieces of Lucifer's shattered soul, had grown up, and after turning 18, they'd stopped aging physically. Just like their parents, they also continued to face obstacles of their own over the years, as with every passing year, their powers grew stronger as they trained how to use them. Though they were not the only ones. Lucifer was getting closer; they were getting closer. Kira could feel it, and so could Alice and Tara. It's almost like that strange feeling where a person feels as if someone is standing behind them, but when they turn around, no one is there. The intensity of those feelings crept closer and stronger with each passing year. It was only a matter of time before Hell's gates would open, and once more, Lucifer would come for Kira, as well as everyone and everything she loved, including Tara, Alice, and anyone standing in his way.

**My debut novel is available for pre-order with all major online retailers from 11/03/2019** This is just the first five chapters, which are also available on my website: www.bmmatsen.com Two days before the start of senior year, Emma Duvall is attacked by creatures that hunt from the shadows. A hidden world that exists within her own, explodes around her as she is faced with menacing creatures of the deep, ugly venomous creatures with voices so beautiful they bring humans to their knees, and a wicked beast with eyes the color of blood. When she touches them, their dark powers flow into her, awakening a hunger in her that had laid dormant for seventeen years. The darkness is seductive when it deals in rage. And rage is exactly what she needs to survive. Not only must she keep her powers a secret, she must also contend with the new boy in school. He is both dangerous and unnaturally handsome, drawing her in like a magnet. What she can't explain is why being close to him causes her physical pain. And those that hunt the monsters of the night-the Giborim-sworn to protect the humans, find that Emma may be just as monstrous. Except the striking, centuries-old, Blaze, who seeks revenge for the mother and sister he lost. Emma will do anything to impress him and earn his trust. Including using herself as bait to ensnare the final piece of Blaze's vengeance. War between the two races is looming on the horizon as the wicked creatures of nightmares seek to enslave humankind. When Emma is thrown in the middle as the ultimate weapon, she must allow herself to be wielded...just long enough to save the world. For when the raging fires of her wrath are unleashed, the world with be painted in the ashes of her enemies.Complete

He said that I made one too many sins in my past life so it's my responsibility to repent and atone for it.
