"Hey, Naruto?" "What, babe?" I asked softly, tilting my head up to gaze into the onyx eyes of my lover. "Promise me that you'll never leave me. Swear to me, Naruto Uzumaki, that you'll always be by my side, through every little thing. Assure me that I'll never have to know another day without you." I frown slightly, my usual casual smirk still intact but a bit distorted by the furrowing of my brows. I stare down at Sasuke, confused by his out-of-the-blue demand and the worried look clouding his normally cool obsidian eyes. He inhales deeply and continues. "Even if it's a lie, I'll believe it, just tell me that you'll never let me go." I feel tears well up in my dull cerulean eyes and bite my lip to keep them from spilling onto my cheeks. All I can do is nod and stutter, "O-Of course, I-" His lips crash into mine, and suddenly hot, wet tears are rolling down both of our faces. I smile into the kiss, and the shared fear of losing each other slowly dissipates, replaced by raw passion. A few minutes pass, and Sasuke breaks off the kiss, though reluctantly. I sniff and wipe my eyes. "I love you so much," I whisper, reaching up to tuck a strand of raven hair behind his ear. He beams at me, his charcoal eyes glistening in the sheer moonlight. "I love you too." ----------------------- Disclaimer; I don't own Naruto, obviously. Hard Yaoi, be-(lieve it!)ware. Many triggers. Sad, sort of twisted ending. Don't like, don't read. Lemons. Again, don't like, don't read. Also, just so you know; the book sucks at first, because I was a lil' noob when I started out writing it, but please keep reading, as I can promise you it gets much better. All twenty chapters from Naruto's POV :-) No Sasuke POV. I was going to do one, but decided not to. One very short epilogue chapter at the end from the narrator's POV.

"Don't make this any harder than it has to be, Sakura." I swallowed hard, my body shaking. I can't believe this is actually happening. Who knew that it will actually end up like this? I knew that I have to save Naruto and Sasuke-kun so that we could run away and hide before it's too late. "I-I'm not opening the door." I took a step backwards, looking at the kitchen. There was a knife on the counter, I needed it. If he is going to break inside, I have to fight back in order to get out of here. I quickly get it and face the door once again. I take a deep breath and tighten the grip on the knife's handle. There was one big question that kept running inside my mind over and over again. When will this nightmare end? Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto suddenly found themselves stuck in their own "ideal world"; a world with no chakra, ninjas, wars and just peace, tranquility and happiness. Their loved ones who were once dead are alive and the place they called home is back to normal again. Everything seems perfect, right? Wrong. They soon find out the person who has trapped them in that world is out to kill them. What's worse is that he won't stop at nothing until they're dead and they don't even have chakra to fight back. Will they be able to escape and be safe? Or will they remain trapped forever? Quote of the story (but not in the actual story): "Just like everybody else, you three believe in everything until it's disproved. You believe in old myths, in ghosts, in powerful creatures, etc. It all exists, even if it's just in your minds. So who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as you and I?" Pain, that was all I felt as her blade pierced my chest. A bloody smile made its way across my face as memories ran through your mind. I knew from the moment that I was told that I was a big sister that I was going to die because of him, for him. I just hope that he can finally make the world a peaceful place like he promised me he would. I winced as the pain got worse but I can bear the pain, for I know it will go away soon. I can see the blurry image of my fathers panicked and grief stricken face. "Don't worry dad, as long as he is ok" my eyes turned to my brother, the boy who saved me from the darkness. For him, I would do this over and over for eternity. Looking in his eyes I can see his pain and how I wished I could take it away, but as my eyes closed and I gave into the warm darkness, I heard my name, calling me back. But I couldnt go back, I can't. I'm dead.

"You did this to us, so now were giving you what you deserve." I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for the inevitable impact with the bottom of the cliff. But what I hit was not the cold stone of the cliff, It was soft, warm dirt. When I opened my eyes I did not see the dark claustrophobic walls of the cliff, but green forest all around. When I lifted my head I could see what looked like a fire in the distance, but I wouldn't find out if it was fire or not, because I woke up. The boy's mother would invited me over to live with them and though I didn't have a strong bond to the father, he let me be there everyday and asked about my day. I even took care of the baby whenever they needed me to. It was only matter of time for me to fall unconsciously in love with the boy. And you know what? I regret nothing.
