Kat, a beautiful bubbly African American girl with wild dreams of running a record label leaves her family and friends in Tennessee in search of success in Los Angeles, California. She unexpectedly finds an apartment in the heart of Hollywood, discovers and falls deeply in love with the Jewish community she lives in. When she finally begins to fall in love with herself after years of battling insecurities, she meets a young Orthodox Jewish boy from New York named Yoely who also left his family and friends. Her life is never the same.
