Wister: A man who chose or was forced to feel only one emotion in order to gain advanced senses, energy, and strength. It is widely known that wisters are evil, dangerous, and to be treated like dogs, if not entirely extinguished. All wisters, whether forced or chosen, were born as a regular human being. Well... every wister except Finch.
He wears a mask of self control, a mask nearly glued into his face. This mask holds him together, keeping him "sane." He's had it since he almost killed his little brother as a kid. The mask smiles, frowns, smirks, widens his eyes, and manages to force out a chuckle or two. The mask is normalcy, and it is safe.
Finch's mask hides the monster he was born to be. Cursed to only ever feel curiosity, all he wants to do is answer questions. The questions are non discriminatory. Some are innocent, like "Why is the sky blue?" Others are dangerous, such as, "How long would it take a full grown man to actually die after his neck was broken?"
For the sake of everyone around him, Finch pretends to be afraid of himself. He pretends to hate his Wist. He pretends to feel things he doesn't. He wears a mask. Once they learn about his tight control, most agree with his actions. Most help him keep the mask on, but not Rianna. She wants to pry it off piece by piece and uncover the real Finch Vigo.
Will he let her in? Can he let anyone in without losing his mask completely? Will she survive when she finally realizes exactly what Finch is? Is he wrong about his inner nature? Can an emotionless Wister live without a mask?

{ "What are you?" Farrah asked in a low voice, still clutching the outfit close to her body. Isen tapped a long nail against his hard jaw, trying to figure out an appropriate response to her question. He eventually shrugged, shaking his head like it wasn't important.
"I have been here ever since the Purification." He glanced up at the starry sky, "Things are much more different down here..."}

No human expected their demise would arrive from the heavens, disguised in a bright, foreign blue light that instantly killed billions.
Farrah is a survivor, and as far as she knows, the only one. All she has left is a small house in the town of Windsburg- an isolated, quiet area with food to provide for a whole community.
But every place has its demons.
When the sun sets, an unknown entity lurks through the town, only to leave and repeat the same process the next night.
Farrah has managed to avoid confronting the creature, but an unexpected turn of events forces her to be outside at the wrong time- an action that would result in her making contact with a fearful, yet unusually friendly monster...
