When Michael found himself back on the same campus where he first met Elyse, he had no intentions of falling for her again. It had been a year, and he knew that things would just end up the same way they had last year: with heartbreak and angst. When he saw her on the first day back, he already knew that he wanted to just be friends. He knew she had a boyfriend back home, and that things were supposed to be different this summer. But Michael was stubborn, and after Elyse's green eyes met his brown ones, he already knew he was about to become one of History's pawns, doomed to repeat it. Like the scent before a storm, their love was sweet, but destructive.
