Nikki Storm is just your average teenage rocker chick, or so she thought. After an incident in class, her life changed forever. Her so called parents are actually angels who kidnapped her when she was 5 in hopes of her powers not emerging. She is told she's a Reaper; whose real parents were demons but died trying to protect her from the angels. Nikki's childhood friend and his parents allow her to live with them while Avon who's also a Reaper must help her complete the change. She transfers to a new school full of Angels, Demons, Faeries, Shadowhunters, Werewolves and humans. But what will happen when she meets the new kid Axel Slate? An alpha shadowhunter who was raised to destroy any demons who seemed as a threat.

But her death leads to her meeting one of the reapers upset with the current state of affairs, and her life instantly gets more dangerous. While she's trailing behind this eccentric girl who claims to own her soul, she meets the very vampire that killed her- and he's not the only one who's taken an interest in her.
