This is about a family who maltreats their only daughter, Anyan because they believed she brought bad luck to the family and also because she graduated from high school before her elder brother, Obi. They had Anyan ten years after Obi because their mother, Ngozi had problems giving birth and went to plead to their god, Amadioha for a child.
