"Elle, this is Alex, my twin." Rebecca smiled, introducing me to the tall, Mexican looking boy. "Alexander, actually. But you can call me Alex if you want." He stuck his hand out to me with a goofy grin on his face. "Nah, I want a different nickname for you." I smiled and shook his hand.
That, my friends, was the introduction that started it all. Started the friendship, the little bit more than a friendship, but only platonic. Although, secretly, maybe not so platonic for me.

I slipped on my shoes, tightened my shoes. Straightened out my leotard, and fixed my hair. "Ana! Ana!" they called out. I walked on to the stage placement A1. I stood in first position looking down waiting for my que. The music started and then I started. I went on my toes shoes and danced. I dipped and many boys caught me. This act was called The Girl. I am that girl. It's about her being so beautiful that everyone falls for her. In real life I am nothing like that, In these dances I nothing but that. As they dance aggressively yet gracefully, I saw my mother in the crowd. I blinked twice to get the image out of my head because she was gone and I didn't want crazy images of ghost in my head. She was gone. One of the boys looked at me like I was crazy because I missed my cue. Crap I thought as I did it quickly to make sure everything was ok. Luckily everything was ok and got off the stage. "What the hell just happened there?" the director asked, I ignore him and walked to my locker to get a danish and some water, he followed me, "Hey girls only." I said "I'm gay." He replied "And..." There wasn't really anything all that special about me. I considered myself an average person with average looks. That being said, I also considered myself a very gaunt person. I was sort of a nerd. Not like a big 'ooooh, look at him, with his glasses, pocket protector and retainer', I of course had never worn any of those things. I'm a quiet type of nerd . Quiet, as in my only friends were people who weren't exactly as bad off as me, but you know, they weren't the most popular either. One girl, Jade who I considered to be an overachieving busybody. She was always trying to improve her already perfect average self while meddling in other peoples business. I also had a guy friend named Alex. He was almost like me, which made us the perfect best friend. He was also pretty popular, even though he hung out with me. Neither Jade, nor Alex were terrible to look at. In fact, sometimes I wondered why they weren't even more popular than they were. Jade is a model, tall with long black hair a perfect body and nice sized tits. Alex is perfect. It's her first day at a new school, a random person Airdropped her something and they begin to chat. This mystery guy is 17 and also his Junior year and is a football player. "Alright, let's get you up," some one said kneeing next to number 22. "No no, I'm fine. Help them, they may be out, he is not responding to me." 22 insisted. Once the others heard this they ran to the other person, 85 from the other team. 22 glanced at the bleachers, briefly making eye contact with me, he then quickly looked back, almost as if doing a double take. He held the eye contact this time, I gave him a small smile and he gave me a sweet smile. "He smiled at you!" "It was just a smile," I said going back to my book. "You have a crush." "You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself. I thought it was cute.
