Los Angeles 1928.

Carter Lewis, a Hollywood stuntman and Alastair Sloane, a young Alienist, attempt to apply unproven theories of psychology and criminal science in order to stop a predatory (serial) killer who is filming his murders and sending the footage to some of Hollywood’s most prominent directors.

The two would-be detectives must avoid corrupt city officials, rum running gangsters, and a dark shadowy sect hell bent on protecting the fledgling film industry, all while trying to find a madman and not become victims themselves.

Having more in common with Silence of the Lambs and the Alienist than anything done by Chandler or Hammett, Dark Footage is a complex story woven through real events of prohibition era Los Angeles
