TOURBILLION
The Introduction to the story:
Pandora's Box:
In the beginning of time, a war broke out between the two creators. Yin and Yang, Good and Evil, Dark and Light; they have been called a lot of names. But the only name that we should remember them by is Lux and Nox. A struggle for power went between them as Nox was consumed with his greed. Lux, concerned, sealed both of them in a realm they created eons ago to protect their living creations: humans and fauna alike. Now, a fallen tribe has risen and desired a change for their community, and so they decided to summon a deity to help them. Unbeknownst to them, they were using the wrong enchantment.
Whirlwind Children: The Inspiration and Real Story :
A nine-year old Chinese girl was playing in Songjian near Shanghai, in July 1992 when she was carried off by a whirlwind and deposited unhurt in a treetop almost two miles away. According to a wire report from May 1986, a freak wind lifted up 13 children in the oasis of Hami in Western China and deposited them unharmed in sand dunes and scrub 12 miles away.
Whirlwind Children: OUR Story :
A powerful yet calm tourbillion abducted 7 children away from their current location and carried them off to different countries. Why? Nobody knows, except for the entity who carried them. Are they connected? Maybe, maybe not. . .
Myths:
"A myth, in its simplest definition, is a story with a meaning attached to it other than it seems to have at first; and the fact that it has such a meaning is generally marked by some of its circumstances being extraordinary, or, in the common use of the word, unnatural." John Ruskin, in 1869, in The Queen of the Air.
Some say that Myths aren't true, then, are these entities not a part of legendary myths? Because they seem pretty true, judging by the fact that one of them is standing right in front of them.

Aphira had met the dragons when she was very young with her Mother and her brother, Whip. However, she didn't remember it, and not even the stories that her Mother told in vivid detail stirred her memory. But when one day, suddenly several beasts with wings land in the village, and several New Berkians announce that the dragons have returned, Aphira is tugged two ways: To follow in her Mother's footsteps, or to try to find a way to escape the dragon-filled life her Mother once lived.
Whip was always fascinated by the stories of the dragons, and unlike his older sister, he remembered his first meeting with the dragons. But when a shocking secret is revealed about his identity and Aphira starts to stray farther and farther away from the life that Whip longs to live, he's tugged in more directions than he could ever imagine were possible...between his sister, himself...and the dragon that his Mother seems to want him to be.
As the children of Kiara and Dagur are pulled further apart while the other children of the Riders are bonded closer together, they start to miss the real threat that only Aphira knows are on their borders...the threat that she might choose to side with to survive.
