"No!" She pulled her arm out of his grasp and turned around to meet his gaze. Her eyes flared black to their dark gray and her hands pushed him back ."You made it very clear you already had her! You can have a very, very happy life with her! She's not broken like I am. I am holding onto myself by a thread because I have my kids. And you know what? He didn't leave the kids. He left me. And you did too." She chuckled darkly, tears brimming her eyes and the wind blowing around her.
"But you know what? He came back. He came back for the kids. Maybe not for me, but for them. But you?" She scoffed and crossed her arms.
"Unlike him, you were letting that whore swap spit with you!" She growled out.
"Grey-" Blake started, reaching for her but she cut him off.
"No! Don't do that. Don't look at me that way and expect me to give in just because you're my mate!"

In The Eyes Of Fate Series (Book One) "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. I jumped to my feet and punched him in the side. There was hardly an effect. "You're weak" he spat, walking a step closer towards me. I growled as I had had it with this blood sucking devil!
