This is NarutoXSasuke(mostly) , NarutoXShikamaru , NarutoXGaara(mostly)

Naruto has just had his birthday , it usually is celebrated by; kicking him , punching him , cutting him . But never too lethal , so he stays alive till the next year , where it's free frustration release again. Don't get me wrong they hurt Naruto between his birthdays as well , except they abuse him mentally - where it hurts most. During all of this Naruto gets up and smiles at them , still polite even though he's hurting.
Sasuke sees this(his facade) , but he doesn't  voice anything because it has only been a few months after the Massacre .
Shikamaru and Chouji see this as well and decide to ask Naruto to hang out with them Chouji knows how it feels to be teased , so he is more empathetic.
Gaara is going through the same in Sunagakure (same as canon)
(he wont be mentioned untill The Chunin Exams).
Neji doesn't care as he doesn't know him enough to.

This story starts when Naruto emotions get a bit out of his control and he begins hanging out with Shikamaru and Chouji , and start getting along in class with Sasuke(as he is more into training with him for the sake of just training)  Naruto decides to try and slow down his pranks and stuff to enjoy this relationship with his friends.All Rights Reserved
