Riona. In case you haven't guessed by now, that's me. This is my story. And I'm going to start from the very beginning, so you can get the full picture. They say we're not defined by our past. But I believe that the past is what makes you who you are. It moulds you. It sticks with you no matter how far ahead in life you get. And then, it catches up to you, putting you in a chokehold you can't possibly get out of. In my case, my past is very messy. I don't like it, but I also can't seem to shake it off. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of.
