Abigail, Charmy they call her, grew up with pirate parents. And because it was in her genes, she grew up as a pirate as well, Before her father died, she was put in charge of the Galleon, the Earthania. It was unusual for the Spanish to become Pirates, But this girl she was different. SNEAK PEEK: The salty sea water was blown into my face. As I stood on the main deck, I admired the scenery of the island. It wasn't easy being a modern-day pirate. We had to hide away from the Armada all the time. Plus, there was no cellphone reception stranded in the middle of the Seven Seas. I didn't realize how shallow the water was getting. "Land Ahead" I yelled, being the Captain wasn't easy, especially with Scurvy Dogs like these. The ship slowed to a stop and we waded the rest of the way. We stepped on what was known as 'The Josey Cays' a breeze from the North hit me, I soaked it in, and so did the rest of the crew. Then I spotted a too familiar mask, Deacon.

"How dare you bring me aboard this ship without so much as telling me what you are?" She yelled. Kincade let out a smug grin, one that infuriated Astryd even more. She took a few more steps toward him so that they were mere feet apart. He looked down at a doubloon he was holding and slowly turned it over in his hands as he spoke. "I saw a troubled woman in a sailor's pub, obviously hiding from the royal guards. Surely you must have gotten yourself into a sticky situation. And you don't expect me to assume what you are?" Astryd fumbled for words. What was he getting at? He lifted his head to look her in the eyes. "You're a thief and now a sailor. You know what that makes you, sweetheart?" "I am not a..." she shouted, but she stumbled at the last word. She pointed her finger in Kincade's face and whispered, "pirate." -------------------------------------------- I would like to acknowledge Thompson Editing Services, who is responsible for being my editor and proofreader for this book as well as an amazing writing mentor.
