It's part of Shawn's daily routine to run home. All the kids make fun of her but what they don't know is that she runs home because her sister, Kerstan, is suicidal and gets home before Shawn does and nobody else is home to look after her. Both of her parents have left leaving Shawn basically the mother of the house, despite the fact she's only 17. Multiple times Shawn has just barely stopped her sister from killing herself but one day she's too late. She finds her sister hanging in the middle of her room. Now Shawn has too make sure that her and her kid brother, AJ, don't get separated. Her and the police officer that comforts her after her sisters death now have to do everything in their power to postpone her and AJ going into foster care before it's too late. (Okay, I know that this has been writing so many times over, but this is my version.) Addi is 14, an orphan and her only role models are Dan and Phil. She has a habit of self-harming.
