  James (2p Canada) Is the ruler of the merfolk, a people generally feared by the rest of society due to there aggressive nature and bad reputation. Under pressure from his council to find a bride James decides to scout the north western Boarders of the sea kingdom after rumors of heavy pollution to the waters of the area in order to escape the constant nagging.
  
  Matthew ( 1p Canada) is a young life mage in training who with his brother Alfred (1p America) , a battle class mage,  visits the west coast of the united north American kingdoms to investigate illegal dark magical activity. 
  
  When James  first sees Matthew healing an injured dolphin who was affected by the magical pollution in the water and has washed up on shore he decides then and their the younger man will become his bride. How will the poor usually unnoticed Matthew deal with the affections of the possessive merman? Will he come to love the merman as well? And who exactly is the root of the dark magic related disasters suddenly popping up everywhere?

"No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain.
