Ruskin, the son of the Western President, used to dream of taking over from his father – crushing the Eastern hordes, destroying the rebel group that plagues the government, and leading the empire into the 22nd century as a pinnacle of communist glory.

Now, he can’t shake the idea that his empire is rotten to the core, and his father becomes more brutal every day.

Lucy is the leader of the last rebels, living among the rats and sewers as they plot a last-ditch attack. She won’t stop until the government falls, even if it means letting the savage East invade, and Ruskin is the key to her plan.
