It was like any other day, i was with my daughter, amelia. She was about to fall sleep. She was in so much peace. No worry in the world. Her green eyes were shining, from the light of the moon. They slowly closed, and she drifted off into her soft snoring. For a 3 year old, she sure knows how to mess with your heart. I felt so bad. Her father left. Well, my husband found somebody better i guess. We had her when i was 20, and he left when she was only 4 months old. What a life. During my deep thinkink, the tv stated making that fog horn type noise, waking me up from my trance. The news was on, with the alert reading across the screen.
"TAKE COVER, STAY IN HOMES. LOCK DOORS, STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS" i lay amelia in her bed, out of my lap. I lock the windows and the doors. When i came back, i missed whatever the alert was about...i should have waited. That mistake changed my life forever...

My name was once Mia Elizabeth Vauthier. I was the princess of a great land where wolves, grander than any other creature shifted freely between animal and man. Where nature and its inhabitants lived together in an uninterrupted harmony. Where the supernatural was not abhorred by those arrogant beings that called themselves humans. Here the supernatural was just as part of nature as the trees and the grass, just as the Goddess had wished it to be. Since the day of my birth, I had been the envy of all the land. I would be powerful I would be great I would be blessed by the Goddess... Or so they had thought. When I was meant to shed my fragile human skin and flow smoothly in the Goddess' blessed creature of the night, I did not. It did not happen when I was sixteen, or seventeen, or eighteen. The shock had been like steaming water, trickling down the naked skin, tearing skin as it went leaving ugly marks that could never be removed. I became stained. The Princess who was an omega and not just an omega, a wolfless omega. An empty shell, a box with no contents, a heart with no blood. Just an empty vessel. I wished so desperately to fill the empty space with something worth more than the haunting echoes of what should have been but that was not my fate. Instead the once beloved princess I was cast aside, thrust into a tower with no promise of a prince to rescue me. The only dragon that guarded me was my own mind, a sharp weapon which would slowly poison me. I thought nothing could save me... Perhaps it is still too late.

"I did try to ask nicely and multiple times, I might add. The time for being nice has come to an end since it doesn't seem to work with you." He passed by the table and stepped down. There weren't many places for her to hide in here but the creature did tell him Amelia came into this room. "Please come out and talk to me." He waited a beat for a response but he didn't get one. "Fine, let me tell you a story. I used to be able to see the creatures clearly but an accident happened when I was younger that damaged one of my eyes. Now they're just blurry to me. But you . . . you can see them clearly and see rare objects. I want you to join me. Be my eyes." He waited again for a few moments for a response he still didn't receive. A thought occurred to him. What if she was hoping that he'd just leave the room? He chuckled quietly to himself in amusement. "I'm not going anywhere. But you know what? It's fine if you decline my offer again. Just know that if you don't come with me, you could come home to find that your parents are dead because of a work accident or some other natural cause. You wouldn't want that would you?" He paused just one more time and began speaking again. "If you come with me today, your parents won't have to die. I can keep them safe. If you don't give me an answer, I'll have my creature kill your parents now and I'll still take you. Do you want dead parents or living parents? It's your choice." Amelia came out of the bay window seat compartment. She was trying to hide her fear and anger. She didn't care what happened to her but she didn't want her parents to die because of her. She took a deep breath. "Fine . . . I'll come with you." He smiled smugly, "Smart choice. There's no need to be afraid of me. Your parents are safe now and I won't hurt you." "It's because you need me for my abilities." She said more of a fact than a question. She knew he wouldn't kill her because he needed her. "Correct. Now, let's tell your parents the good news."

Rogues, Alphas, and kings Alike. I was kidnapped, despite him telling people different. Everyone told me he was a monster, the beast that never loved, he didn't feel pain, or remorse. For a while I believed the stories and rumours, until I came to realise that the beast simply acted on the assumptions of others. They called him a beast. They treated him like an animal. So the animal he became. But I could see the pain, the agony that he feels every day of his life. Unable to see the world in colour ever again, completely blind in human form. Slowly I was falling for the Lycan, not realising that he was waiting to catch me. The truth is always revealed at one point, no matter how much it rips apart your happy little bubble. With an enemy stronger than us all, and older than time itself, how do we defend ourselves? (18+ EXPLICIT CONTENT) "Attract a lot of attention, huh beautiful?" His voice hit me like a wall, absurdly catching me off guard. It was deep, sensual, something any girl (or boy) could melt over. I was sort of speechless, yet trying my best to appear unafflicted. "Only the wrong ones." That was definitely drunken me talking, as I didn't usually have that much confidence. His lips twitched up into a smirk, expressing that he understood my comment. "Does that mean that I'm in that category?" My palms began to grow sweaty and my heart rate picked up, but otherwise my body remained relaxed, appearing completely fine. It similar to when you're on autopilot, completely withdrawn due to intoxication. "I suppose not," I crossed my arms, putting on this seductive persona just for him. This fueled his smirk, about to murmur another comment before I cut him off. "You'll have to show me, though." *** Amelia Hollis was a 23-year-old writer at one of the local publishing companies, assisting a very handsome man and writing articles left and right. Her and her best friend, Aviary, lived together in a cute little apartment off the central part of the city, yearning to create new memories and important moments. Amelia always lived for the moments, taking in every little detail and savoring it like it was her favorite meal. She was an optimist, hoping to change peoples lives with her dreams. James Vallette was a 34-year-old CEO, building his company from dirt with the help of his brother. He was a realist, not really having time to deal with dreams or even love. He knew this the night he laid eyes on Amelia. It was only casual; what harm could a one-night stand do? Oh yeah, he's her dad's boss.
