Jason Keyes was a small town boy and always wanted love in his life. He experienced such love when his baby boy Zahir was born. Jason and long time friend Phillip Washington met in high school and were friends until Zahir was born. After high school the two friends went onto seperate paths and lost contact for many years. Phillip had a boy of his own that was born with autism and later died at the age of five from a reckless driver. Years later Phillip and Jason reunite as friends again and Phillip sees Jason has a happy and healthy nine year old son. Jealousy takes over and Phillip visits Zahir's school to kidnap him. Zahir ends up dead and Jason is stuck between feeling sympathy for the loss of his friend's son or avenging his own's death.
