Roses Will Bleed

Prologue//
There are two reasons I never the woods that night.
One, I didn’t have a ride. And two, I couldn’t leave him stranded there.
I’d like to say I never make mistakes, but I do. And staying behind after everyone had left had to be the biggest one of my existence. Playing witness to things broader than my being and trying to fix problems that I didn’t understand myself; that was my mistake.
But saving him, despite what dangers I was in, that was a choice. And neither he nor anyone else could tell me different. That night, I made a massive mistake from which I can never take back. But that night, I also made a decision, a life-altering decision, from which I would never take back.
