A changeling is the child of a fairy, troll, or other mythical creature. It is said that at birth, the fairy mother switches her baby with a human child as fairies need human milk to live. Sometimes, changlings will stay with their human family and grow up living as a human. However, these changelings never forget their fairy origins and will often leave their human families without warning.
