Tara Nightwalker is essentially a disgrace to Shadowhunters- uncoordinated, not all that brave. However, she finds a home at the Paris Institute alongside the best Shadowhunters of the generation, in a special program for prodigies. When the head of the Institute is killed, the team decides to take on the investigation themselves.
