17 year old Katy Willis wakes in a hospital room with two strangers, after a traumatic car accident that she doesn't remember, who both think she is a different person-Ember Jane Peters, a 25 year old grad student who had a talent for medical science. As Katy comes to terms with who she is, she gradually falls in love with the younger brother of the man Ember was engaged to.
