This is the second book that’s part of the “Ish Series”, and I strongly suggest that you should read the first one, for you to be able to relate with the context of this book. The first book is entitled, The Nerd that turned out to be Vampire-ish.

Continuing to where the story left on the first book where Victoria bid farewell to Tristan, she is now currently living in the castle her father, Sevyr, had mentioned. Even though she went to a new place and living the new life, problems and thrills tend to follow her wherever she may be. She’s now haunted by mysterious pursuers, who’s probably the same people behind the murder of the queen, her grandmother. Victoria is now facing a new type of race, or should I say enemy – the witches and wizards of their realm.

Victoria is given by her father, the King of the Barren Lands, to the Vampire Duke Sadisman as a hostage. She is a gift from her people as a peace offering. As part of the bargain, Duke has promised, "She will not be sired, she will not be fed upon, she will not be tasted, her skin will remain unbroken, and her chastity unchallenged by those under my domain." Victoria's life as the only human guest in the vampire's Black Keep, which humans call the 'Cradle of Filth,' isn't as simple as she hopes. The Duke is a cruel, dangerous man, as lethal as he is strong, and as troubled as he is scalding hot. A man comfortable with breaking a promise if it suits him but smart enough not to lightly restart a bitter war that weakens his coven. He is also the master of an ancient, powerful vampire coven. In it, Victoria must find a way to survive in a nest of remorseless plotters and schemers. Over time, Victoria withstands Sadismann's punishments and learns a grudging respect for him. She makes friends with some of the human familiars, and with them, she must uncover the truth. Is The Duke unraveling the centuries of pain and learning to feel something he has not felt before? Or is this another plot within a plot? While she knows the vampire treachery, Victoria begins to feel emotions she is scared of. Can she survive her year as a hostage to the vampire overlord? Can the vampire overlord survive a year without breaking his vows? Book #1 of the Crimson Crown series. Currently Editing and in Revision, upgraded chapters weekly. Formally Slave to the Vampire Blood Lord. Comment from Djsachinbhatia: "You're the only person I know who can make me so immersed that I forget I'm reading a book!! Plus, not many paranormal stories can keep my interest alive as long as you have!!"

In a world of immortal intrigue, Queen Selenia, the sophisticated leader of the Sisterhood, has spent decades perfecting her deadly artistry - transforming from savage predator to noble vampire, crafting elaborate traps, and infiltrating high society through a string of calculated marriages. But her carefully orchestrated world faces its greatest challenge in Rowan, the Wolf Hero, champion of her mortal enemy, the Princess. When Rowan's elite Wolf Knights breach her castle's defenses, leaving his loyal brotherhood gravely wounded, Selenia finally has him where she wants him - alone in her domain. Yet their battle becomes a dangerous dance of seduction as past encounters and buried secrets threaten to surface. Trapped between duty and desire, hero and monster, Rowan must confront his growing feelings for the very creature he's sworn to destroy. Meanwhile, Selenia orchestrates her deadliest performance yet, knowing that in this game of love and war, someone's heart must shatter like the fragments of their shared past. With Gothic grandeur, supernatural action, and darkly romantic tension, "Confessions of a Vampire Queen" weaves a tale where beauty and beast blur, where music mingles with mayhem, and where true monsters might not be what they seem. Will love triumph over loyalty? Can enemies become lovers? Or will their dangerous obsession end in mutual destruction? For in Selenia's castle, every trap is an invitation, every battle a courtship, and every confession could be their last. Let the deadly waltz begin.
