I just may be the strangest person you will ever know. I am filled with too many oddities and too few consistencies and I will always lack the spongy filter that should live between brain and mouth. These defining traits these enduring characteristics, and these fingers crossed that in all of it, you will find them irresistible.

☘︎☘︎☘︎

Essentially, this is a compilation of lessons I've learnt as an achiever and lessons I wish to pass on. I don't want a label. I don't want a box. I want to break stereotypes. I want to have a legacy.

I want to be known as someone who has goals and achieves them, and whatever they may be, wherever they might be, I want to be limitless.

#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. "I fucking 𝘰𝘸𝘯 you." He hissed. "You own me in 𝘣𝘦𝘥 and not in reality!" I insisted on my words. 𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘹 𝘓𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘹, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴. I hated the fact he did, I hated that he had full control over my soul, I hated the way he kissed me, I hated the way his hands felt nothing but damn right on my skin. I hated the verity of him owning every single ugly piece of me. His touch wasn't just filthy, his touch healed me, his touch has woken me up from the darkness I was brutally blindfolded to see and the past I had drowned with. And most importantly, I hated the fact I fell for him. Hi loves! My second book is here and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it! {COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

Book #4 in the "Bloodlines & Ashes" series (Can be read as a standalone) I had a plan: Go to college, have lots of sex, and eventually become a doctor. Simple, right? Yeah, well, that was the idea until a family secret came out and flipped my whole world upside down. Fast forward to an accident and a kidney transplant later; I'm left wondering who the hell I even am anymore. That's when she came tumbling into my life. A red-haired stranger on the hospital rooftop, barging into my existential crisis, dragging me-literally-away from the edge. (For the record, I wasn't going to jump. Probably.) She's beautiful, fiery, and...insanely frustrating. She refused to tell me her name, declared my parents must be gay, and walked away like she didn't just turn my entire world upside down. Sounds like the start of a great love story, doesn't it? Here's the problem: she doesn't think so. She's immune to my charm, dismisses me as some campus jock, and seems entirely uninterested in giving me the time of day. Naturally, her rejection only makes me more determined to prove her wrong. Enter the deal: tutoring sessions, gingerbread lattes, and endless chances to show her that I'm more than just a guy with good hair and charm. Her story? I need to know it.
Her trust? I'll earn it. But the closer I get, the more I realize I'm in way over my head. Because, like they say, too much ginger can give you heartburn-and my heart? It's already hanging by a thread.
